Green County Sheriff's Report
AUGUST 22-28, 2005
At 5:43 p.m., Tuesday, the Green County Sheriff’s Department was advised that the McFarland Police Department had Glenn J. Jorgenson, 48, Brodhead, in custody on Green County warrant for failure to appear in court for issuance of worthless checks. Jorgenson was incarcerated in the Dane County Jail pending transport to Green County.
At 1:44 a.m., Wednesday, Richard Hauser, 24, Brodhead, was picked up in Beloit on a warrant for failure to pay fine on an issuance of worthless check charge. He was jailed at the Rock County Jail.
At 4:26 a.m., Friday, deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Crosby Court. A physical altercation had occurred resulting in Scott A. Cooper, 27, Brodhead, being arrested for battery, disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing, Angela D. Oliver, 25, Brodhead, being arrested for disorderly conduct and Dustin L. Gurney, 22, Evansville, being arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant through Rock County for a prior operating after revocation charge. Gurney was incarcerated in the Rock County Jail. Gurney will also be referred to the Green County District Attorney for the charge of disorderly conduct. Cooper and Oliver were both incarcerated in the Green County Jail and were later released pending their initial court appearance. The Brodhead Police Department and EMS assisted with the call. The case remains under investigation.
At 3:41 p.m., Sunday, Jacob Hambley, 18, Juda, was cited for speeding on CTH G. He was given a court date.
Monroe Police
Randy M. Eldred, 47, Brodhead, was arrested for fourth offense drunk driving, driving after revocation and driving left of center following a traffic stop around 12:45 a.m., Sunday, August 21, in the 2500 block of 13th Street, Monroe. He was released pending court.
Rock County Circuit Court
Johnathon O. Beckwith, Orfordville, speeding, $230.
Shane A. Reppen, Brodhead, operating while under influence, $722, license revoked and alcohol assessment.
Green County Court
The court Tuesday, August 23, scheduled an October 4 district attorney conference and entered a plea of not guilty on behalf of Tracy L. Hagen, 35, Albany, who stood mute to identity theft. Court records indicate Hagen used a woman’s name, address, birth date and social security number to obtain a credit card in October. In October and December she made six transactions at cash machines in Albany and Monroe. She is charged with identity theft, a class H felony, and six counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, each a class A misdemeanor. She faces more than 10 years in prison and up to $70,000 in fines, if convicted. She remains free on a $2,000 signature bond.
