Girl Scout Troop 3173 donates cookies to White Gift

Ruth Brobst of White Gift said, “everyone was excited to hear that we were getting Girl Scout Cookies donated!” Ruth also said that people have been wonderful this year and that many are giving more than usual, even those who do not have much are giving. Perhaps this is the meaning of: Buy Less, Give More, this Christmas. Sponsor Cookies Girl Scout Troop 3173 donated 50 boxes of cookies, and would like to be able to donate more. Girl Scout Leader Rebecca Roth said, “ We still have cookies available to buy and are looking for sponsors to purchase cookies to be donated to local food banks.” Anyone interested can contact Rebecca at: 897-8050.
Girl Scouts is a national organization dedicated to promoting community service and strong values in girls of all ages. Brodhead Has Great Scouts Troop 3173 are quite active in the community. They have volunteered their time at local nursing homes and visited the Morning Sun residents entertaining them with Christmas Carols. In 2010 they have plans to begin a community service project at the Rock County Humane Society.
